I could have\u2026 I wish I only had\u2026\u201d the sentences ending in any number of hopes, dreams and wishes that never came to fruition?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I get older I can\u2019t help but reflect on my life.&nbsp; I think the key word is \u201creflect\u201d and not \u201cregret\u201d.&nbsp; We have to be careful not to get caught up in condemnation of regret and instead focus on the reflection of what \u201cwas\u201d and then make an honest attempt to learn from the errors and mistakes of our past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRegret\u201d is defined as<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201can intelligent and\/or emotional dislike for personal past acts and behaviors.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Regret is often felt when someone feels sadness, shame, embarrassment or guilt<\/em> <em>after committing an action or actions that a person later wishes that he or she had<\/em> <em>not done.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is nothing the enemy wants more than to bring condemnation, guilt and shame into the believer\u2019s life.&nbsp; These things will hinder our spiritual growth. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To \u201cReflect\u201d on the other hand is defined as<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>\u201cto think quietly and calmly; to express a thought or opinion resulting from<\/em> <em>intent consideration.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through reflection, we learn from our mistakes, and we mature and grow in Him.\u00a0 We run the race that is before us (Hebrews 12:1)\u2026 with the prize in \u201cfront\u201d of us, having learned how to overcome the obstacles of our &#8220;past&#8221;.\u00a0 No condemnation, not guilt, no shame, no \u201cregrets\u201d.\u00a0 Remember what Jesus said in Luke 9:62, &#8220;No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.&#8221;\u00a0 I would contend that this verse is very much applicable to \u201cLiving a Life of No Regrets.\u201d \u00a0May he find us faithful!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cLiving a Life of No Regrets\u201d To live a life of no regrets sounds like a tall order.&nbsp; How many times have we said to ourselves, \u201cI should have..
